International Power hosted an analyst conference in Melbourne, Australia on the 9-10 April 2008.
Australia is one of our three major merchant markets and Asia is a core long-term contracted market. In aggregate these two regional markets contributed just under 20% of our profit from operations in the year ended 31 December 2007.
Domenic Capomolla – Chief Executive Office, Simply Energy
In 2004 Domenic was appointed Retail Manager, International Power (Retail) Pty Ltd. He successfully led the negotiations with Energy Australia to create the EA-IPR Retail Partnership (recently re-branded Simply Energy of which he is now the CEO).
Domenic has been actively involved in the deregulated power and gas markets in Australia and Singapore since 1997. Joining United Energy Marketing (UEMPL), Domenic progressed to lead the contestable Sales and Customer Service Team, Power and Gas. He was also involved in the purchase and subsequent merger of the Ikon/Multinet gas business, specifically concentrating on the emerging contestable gas markets.
