BITC: Companies that count
The annual Business in the Community (BITC) Corporate Responsibility Index results were published in the Sunday Times on 25 May 2008. The index is major benchmark for corporate responsibility in the UK and International Power were pleased to be listed. International Power received a Silver ranking in the overall Corporate Responsibility index, a Gold ranking in the Environment index and a Bronze ranking in the Community Index. This represents substantive recognition of our corporate commitment to managing environmental and societal issues. For more information, please see the BITC website.
FTSE4GOOD
In addition to our BITC rating, we are listed in the FTSE4GOOD index, and have been since 2004. The selection criteria for this prestigious index include environmental sustainability, stakeholder relationships and upholding and supporting universal human rights. We are pleased to continue to be included within the FTSE4GOOD index, which identifies companies that meet globally-recognised corporate responsibility standards.
